Before reading about my past and new inventions, please read the following :
I, Bruno Legaignoux, am the French co-inventor, with my brother Dominique, of the C-shaped inflatable kite that we patented in 1984 to see our work materialize in 1997 with the creation of our Wipika brand and the birth of a sport, kitesurfing.
In 1999 appeared on the market the first 4-line C-kite that we invented in 1994. In 2005, after a research initiated in 2001, we launched the Bow-kite with Cabrinha and our second brand, Takoon, another kite with a flatter inflatable structure and with bridles only on the leading edge. This wing solves a fundamental problem of C-kites, safety, by the possibility of reducing the power to almost zero. This invention allowed to revitalize the sport that was struggling due to many accidents, some of them fatals. We can say that thanks to these three major inventions, kitesurfing is today what it is, a sport still in full development and even Olympic. However we learnt over the time that the Intellectual Property system is designed to smash the independant inventors, so I recently decided to no longer fatten patent offices, lawyers and industrial property consultants, who in parentheses are always winners on your back. You can learn more about our IP setbacks here. On this site I offer my new "unprotected" inventions for free. Brands are welcome to use them. Those which are interested to get my help to quickly launch a product can use the Contact form. A Donation page will be added for the brands and customers who are happy using my ideas. The collected funds will be used to develop innovations that will themselves be offered for free or will be donated to other associations. |
Site under construction !
I'll soon add more information about the past inventions and will update it when new ideas come...
